Kyoto Microcomputer joins CE Linux Forum.
For immediate release:
Kyoto Japan, May 26, 2005:
Embedded debugger and JTAG ICE specialist Kyoto Microcomputer (KMC) moved to cement its position as a provider of embedded debugger products for Linux for consumer electronics (CE Linux), becoming an Associate Member of the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF). KMC has been welcomed into CELF as an Associate Member, through which it hopes to provide better debugging solution for Linux in the digital consumer electronics market.
Though we have already supported CE Linux from CELF, we will continue to focus on CE Linux. Users of KMC's flagship high speed JTAG ICE can easily debug their CE Linux-based embedded projects such as digital consumer electronics devices.
"KMC's success in the JTAG ICE and debugger system will bring a new level of expertise to CELF," said Syoichi Yamamoto, president Kyoto Microcomputer. "KMC is proud to participate in CELF as a way to provide better debugging solution to meet developer's growing demand and continues to focus on embedded Linux implementations including the CE Linux."
The PARTNER-Jet is KMC's flagship high speed JTAG ICE which can debug target boards even with multi-core processor just with single JTAG connection.
Target OS: Linux kernel ver2.4.x / ver2.6.x.x
Target CPU: ARM/MIPS/SH4/MN103
Host machine: Microsoft Windows 2000/XP
About CE Linux
CELF was born as an alliance between Sony and Matsushita in December 2002. In July 2003, the two electronics giants expanded the alliance to form CELF with the help of NEC, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba and Hitachi.
CELF is intended as a platform for discussing and formalizing the requirements for extensions to a Linux platform geared to consumer electronics devices, including cell phones, PDAs, set-top boxes, Internet radios, residential gateways, automotive telematics, even Karaoke machines and other audio/visual devices.
